“Veteran newsman Dan Rather attempted to explain to President Donald Trump the current state of his reelection bid on Thursday night via Twitter. Journalistic wordsmith that he is, Rather was able to get to the heart of the matter in only three words. Dude. You lost.— Dan Rather (@DanRather) November 13, 2020 Joe Biden was projected the winner of the presidential election on Nov. 7 by The Associated Press and other media outlets, but Trump and some of his allies have repeatedly claimed he won the election without evidence. The president has also accused the Democratic Party of “wrongdoing” without providing evidence to back the allegations. Still, many Twitter users appreciated Rather’s attempt to explain the situation using words the president would surely understand. Succinct writing is a marvelous talent.#PresidentElectJoeBiden https://t.co/L8XYH76y1v— Marty Coniglio (@martyconiglio) November 13, 2020 👇 should be engraved in a monument for #2020 #danrather #DudeYouLost #PresidentElectJoe https://t.co/uJvwIyNhmE— Maria de los Angeles (@vicequeenmaria) November 13, 2020 Damn…when Dan Rather uses \”dude\” in a tweet, that means Dan Rather is rather damn mad.— BrooklynDad_Defiant! You are a national treasure— Tina🇺🇸🗽🌊🌎🍩🏳️🌈 (@TinaMarie88888) November 13, 2020 I nominate this as the best use of “dude” since Lebowski.— Jay Black (@jayblackisfunny) November 13, 2020 But one Twitter user suspected Trump won’t listen to Rather’s pointed explanation of the facts. Unfortunately this time dude does not abide. pic.twitter.com/wvMB20y8HE— Pissed Off No More 😁 (@ResisterDude) November 13, 2020
