'No Pardons. No Immunity': Mary Trump Says Her Family Must Pay

“Mary Trump, the estranged niece of President Donald Trump, again called for her uncle and others in the first family to face the music once he leaves office in January.  Mary Trump cited a New York Times report of two separate fraud investigations in New York into the president and his businesses involving write-offs and consulting fees. “No pardons. No immunity,” the president’s niece tweeted:  \”Two separate New York State fraud investigations into Donald] and his businesses, one criminal and one civil, have expanded to include tax write-offs on millions of dollars in consulting fees, some of which appear to have gone to Ivanka.\”No pardons. No immunity. 😎— Mary L Trump (@MaryLTrump) November 20, 2020 While the Times reported that some of the payments in question appear to have gone to Ivanka Trump, the president’s eldest daughter does not appear to be a focus of the investigation.  Ivanka Trump called the probe “harassment” and a “fishing expedition.”  Mary Trump’s call for justice echoes comments she made earlier this week on CNN as she slammed the president’s failures in handling the coronavirus pandemic.  “He’s directly responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans,” she said. “He’s got blood on his hands, and he needs to be held to account, so I hope President-elect Biden keeps that in mind come January.” Mary Trump warned before the Nov. 3 election that her uncle would not accept a loss and would attempt to stop the transfer of power because he is afraid of criminal prosecution once he leaves office.  Asked in September how far she thought her uncle would go, she replied, “Farther than you can possibly imagine.” Trump and his legal team have filed dozens of suits attempting to invalidate the vote in multiple states. He is also leaning on local election officials in an apparent attempt to stop the certification of the vote, and he’s invited Republican lawmakers from Michigan to the White House on Friday ― a move critics fear could be an attempt to pressure them into nullifying the state’s popular vote, which was won by Biden, and appointing their own electors for Trump.
